Thomas Nepveu in United States Pro Kart Series Final: The Carolina GP at GoPro Event. From October 14 to 17

After a first season in the 18-race USF2000 series, Thomas Nepveu returns to the karting portion of his 2021 season, as he and his team will use some of the space and facilities of the Trinity Karting Group over the last three kart races of the season (See calendar page 2 - USPKS - X30 Pro Senior).

This coming weekend's "Carolina GP@ GoPro" event will be Thomas Nepveu's 31st and 32nd races overall in both series in 2021, a considerable amount of experience at a high level that makes him a more seasoned driver as he works his way towards his career goal as an IndyCar Series driver.

Thomas Nepveu had a busy 2021 season in karting, with 12 finals to his credit where he accumulated three top-five and seven top-10 finishes, driving closer and closer to the leaders as the season progressed.

"I know the GoPro Motorplex track well and I certainly expect to run with the lead group every time out on the track. This is our second outing using my new "Kart Republic" in the X30 Senior Pro class. We will use the Thursday and Friday practice sessions to find the correct settings for the races on Saturday and on Sunday. While racing kart over the previous years, I was relying more on 'feel' and on my experience but driving the USF2000 car has taught me a lot. Two factors stand out: the enormous importance of qualifying at the front of the grid, to reduce the number of overtakes to get to the front of the pack, and the precision of the driving actions (steering, braking, reference points) necessary to maximise performance as well as the regularity and intensity required to run with the leaders," explains Thomas Nepveu.

Driving Instructor

Thomas Nepveu's personality and technical knowledge also make him an ideal driving instructor, capable of transmitting his knowledge while making the student and the family comfortable during these important and often emotionally charged moments. Thomas Nepveu began working with novices in the spring of 2019, when he was only 14 years old, and continues to do so for the BCR (Ben Cooper Racing) race team. Last winter, with he even helped some PSL Karting drivers at a track in addition to taking care of his own machine (track walks, debrief meetings after each track session).

Kart Republic

Founded in 2017 by Dino Chiesa, this Italian manufacturer has dominated kart racing at the international level since its inception. It quickly moved to American competition, taking its first win at the most competitive North American event, the Las Vegas SKUSA SuperNationals (1st - X30 Senior class - Nov. 2018). The brand has recorded a multitude of wins since then and solidified its position at the top of the kart racing world.
